Constructed an integrated outcome relationship map for the programme to demonstrate inter-relationships between the programme’s component initiatives. This surfaced an ‘organising framework’ for the programme which provided the basis for planning, reporting and control

Carried out a scoping study to define a Benefits Realisation Strategy for the DH’s Commissioning a Patient-Led NHS Programme.

Facilitated two benefits-led programme planning workshops for the DWP/DH/HSE Health, Work and Well-being Programme.

Prepared (with Andrew Davies) a Benefits Management strategy for the NI DRD Water Reform Programme. Prepared and presented the BM strategy to the Water Reform Steering Group. Supported the Programme Manager in preparing for a Gateway 0 review.

Benefits realisation strategy for a Person-Centred Community Information System (PCIS) for the HPSS in Northern Ireland. Roger developed a standard approach for benefits identification and planning for the local Trust PCIS implementation teams and wrote comprehensive guidance material for their use, covering benefits identification and prioritisation, benefits planning, measurement and reviews. Training courses based on this material were designed and delivered to pilot local teams.

Benefits Realisation consultant to the DH Integrated Services Improvement Programme (ISIP). Advised and contributed to the development of the ISIP ‘Roadmap for Transformational Change’. Defined and developed training materials for a Designing and Planning Benefits-Led Projects course.
