Delivering value in a complex world
e-change training limited was set up in 2000 by Professor Andrew Davies and Dr Roger Elvin, then of the Cranfield School of Management,
as a vehicle for them to provide training and consultancy services. They left Cranfield in 2003 to give their full attention to developing
the company.
After four years of profitable trading, he company ceased trading at the end of 2007 upon Andrew's retirement and
has been wound up.
Roger Elvin continues to manage the company's
Resource Centre and continues to be available for
consultation. He can be reached via the
CONTACTS tab on our home page.
Our Skills & Knowledge Base
Our Values
The skills and methods provided by e-change training were based on those developed by Roger and Andrew at Cranfield School of Management and in their previous employments:
- At Cranfield Roger led the Cranfield Information Systems Research Centre’s research stream: “Benefits from IT-enabled Change”.
During a five-year programme of practical, action research, Roger and Andrew developed frameworks and workshop techniques for the
identification and realisation planning of business benefits from IT-enabled business change. The recognition that the planning and
implementation of change is fundamental to benefits realisation is central to these methods, which have been proven in practice through
many action research and consultancy projects.
-
Previously, Andrew’s career included experience as a Systems Engineer with IBM and consultancy with Touche Ross (now Deloitte)
Management Consultants, where he became a Senior Partner responsible for all aspects of IT enabled change consultancy.
As grandfathers both, we have worked with three generations of IT professionals. We know the IT profession to be full of intelligent, competent people. Yet, repeated surveys show that over the lifetime of our careers, the IT profession has not significantly improved its collective ability to deliver value from the IT investments that we manage on behalf of our organisations. We firmly believe it is time to have faith in our people and question the received wisdom embedded in our systems development and project management practices.
